Victor Lagunes is the CIO of the Office of the President, a position he has held since 2012. He is responsible of the IT operations and contributed for the creation and implementation of e-government federal public policies to generate value to our country. 
In this regard, the CIO Office supports the National Digital Strategy (NDS) - which seeks to transform Mexico through technologies, and to contribute developing goals of the country. The NDS was launched by our President in 2013. In this regard, under the NDS framework the CIO is responsible for the implementation of the ICT policy that focuses on the interoperability, consolidation and information security of the Public Federal agencies in order to deliver better online citizen services. 
He got his Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1998 and he moved to Canada to pursue an MBA at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In Canada, Mr. Lagunes started a consulting practice, focusing on technology integration, green data center initiatives, cloud-sourcing and information security.
