In this session, Cisco IT will share their experience on deploying multiple enterprise applications on an OpenStack private cloud implementation.  We will discuss the process we followed to identify application characteristics, and classify these enterprise applications (Cloud Native / Cloud Tolerant) for rapid adoption on OpenStack. We will share our experience on meeting enterprise performance, security, and operational requirements.  We will also talk about the challenges we faced in our OpenStack journey. Finally, we’ll talk about the infrastructure choices we made and demonstrate how we leveraged Group-Based Policy for intent based application modeling.

Key takeaways for this session

  • Learn about Cisco IT's private cloud journey with OpenStack

  • Cisco IT use case for enterprise workload migrations to Openstack
